We've just dispatched this pre-amplifier to a customer in Belgium.

He chose gold plated brass cowls with a Perspex lid to show them off. This was the first time we've set the top rings into the Perspex and tapped a hole in the bottom so it's fixed by the main screw, it looks beautiful!

We've bought a beautiful old fly press which a very clever man in Wales modified into a veneering press. This means we can flatten and bond our own veneers to make custom pre-amplifier lids.

Of course, it won't only press veneers, stay tuned for Will It Squash?

We've just sent this unit out to an owner in the USA. He wanted an LED fitted in the level knob and we were only too happy to oblige.We're really pleased with the results, it turned out great! You can see another photo of this unit here.

Every pre-amplifier we make starts with two transformer bobbins. We have our bobbins custom made for us to our specification, so there's no compromise.

We tried lots of different fixings and couldn't find anything we thought was good enough (is it too much to expect the heads to be in the middle of the screw?!). So, we commissioned a local precision engineering firm to custom machine fixings to our exact specification.
